Hello everyone. I’m Clare Morris. I’m the editor of Outposts.
Outposts is a poetry magazine. It was first published in 1944 by Howard Sergeant. He continued as editor until a few months before his death in February, 1987. Roland John then took over the editorship for a further eight years until Outposts closed in 1995… until now. It’s been revived, relaunched, and is raring to go!

Submission details
If you’d like to submit your work to Outposts, please send it as an email attachment to claremorris1343@gmail.com.
If you prefer to send your submissions by post, the address is
Outposts, 8, Mapledene Close,Stoke Gabriel, Totnes, Devon, TQ9 6RP.
There is no limit on the number of submissions but please keep it within the bounds of reason. I rarely publish more than three poems per poet per issue. I am happy to receive submissions from the same poets for sequential issues. My priority is always the publication of good poetry. If you are in any doubt, it’s best to email me and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
Outposts does not have a fixed publication schedule. There is no submission window. Outposts’ doors are always open.
